There are parts of God you can only know in Worship and community. It’s not all about Bible information… we are created to live after the Spirit.. We are supposed to pattern our lives after Jesus…. What happened? Those who treat you as if you are wrong about everything will eventually need to be told to stay away! Be who God is making you to be!! So many erroneously believe that if they just say they believe in Jesus they are soon going in the Rapture but the Bible says that without Holiness, no man shall see the Lord!!  Hello my friends,
First I would like to thank all of you for all the Birthday wishes. Pictured above is one of my favorite gifts, The complete works of Richard Sibbes, the great Puritan author and Pastor... My wife gave me this as I turned 57 on May 9th. His writings have been a major blessing to me over the years. Thanks to my wife Angie for this awesome birthday present.

Well, we are holding in person services again beginning on May 30. Social distancing will be practiced. Its time to minister in person again!! I will be taking meetings on a case by case basis at this time as we move forward to recovering all.. Thats what God will do.. He said Go and has given commandment to assemble together... 

Also, we are in the process of moving our home and headquarters. Its been challenging during the pandemic but we are making progress. I will do another update on that later.. 

There will not be any private broadcasts for awhile now as we move forward but There are tons of Public messages on The Old Time Power Podcast and also Anchor FM. Also, our You Tube has been doing really well.. Thank you so much viewers and Listeners..

There are a lot of folks that will use this virus as an excuse to not go back to church. Not us!! We will be there, we will be preaching, praying and do what Christians do!! We pledge to go Gods way not the way of the ungodly.

I believe that Jesus is the Christ; the Son of the Living God. He is God! I owe Him my allegiance, not news pundits, political party’s, Governments, or anything/ anyone else!! I choose as a Christ follower to not be enslaved by Fear!

I believe that faith in Jesus still saves, heals, protects and delivers today and we can through Christ put worry , fear, doubt and unbelief under the Blood and walk in the Victory of Jesus Christ!

I pray you all have a great Memorial Day weekend and I will be bringing another update soon..

Hi I just wanted to say thank you for producing these awesome YouTube clips. I stumbled on "There is a River Whose Streams Shall Make Glad" and I ended up watching many other videos by Len. His preaching about peace and liberty in Christ is helping me immensely.

I was experiencing these terrifying encounters with what I thought was the Holy Spirit, but instead of peace I felt this kind of terror and doom coming over me. I have always known the presence of God since when I was small but this made me think I had committed some incredible sin. I am starting to think it is actually some other kind of spirit trying to deceive me, and the Holy Spirit is not majorly upset with me, or perhaps even not upset with me at all. Anyhow meditating on the love and peace and forgiveness of God by watching Len preach is really helping me.

I believe we must realize that the only way to find the peace, joy, and happiness the scriptures promise is to be more like Jesus... to take His teachings literally and pursue His Life... The Reason the early Church was so full of God is because they were so empty of self. Failure doesn't need to be fatal.... we can live in the power of the Holy Spirit.... but if we don't take God at His Word and have Faith in Him and It, we are doomed to repeat the same mistakes we desperately hope to avoid. In 2020, Make Church a Priority, make the Word a priority... Not the Word as you interpret it but The Word as He gives it.... Trust What Christ has done and Taught.... Allow the Holy Spirit to take over!!" We Hope You Attend Church this weekend... God Bless You All..

Nuggets and Announcements Jan. 2 2020

Hey Everybody, Happy New Year 2020!!!!!
We intended to upload a special message on Friday Jan, 3 however our connections are having some technical issues. We should have them resolved shortly but another message will be posted tomorrow on the Old Time Power Podcast..

I do want to make you aware of some new announcements here however... This is especially important for our friends, supporters, and monthly partners.
We have been praying for about 2 years about our social media.. We feel its the Lords timing to make some cuts to our use of social media for various reasons pertinent to stewardship. Last Fall, I cut out 100% of my Instagram use. Starting Now the following cuts will go into place: Twitter:10%,  USA Life: 25%, Facebook: 60 to 70%.  There will be No Cuts in our Use to the following sites. YouTube (at this time).. No cut... Our Connect site: No Cut... Old Time Power Podcast on Podbean: No Cut......
I will be mentioning this on some upcoming messages and give more to the specifics as to why the Lord led us to do this.

Here is what we need from those of you that follow our ministry for the teachings both audio and/or video..... Please send us your email address and your mailing address so we can minister and keep in touch with you in these ways not related to social media. You can email me at office@acts2618.com. We will not send out more than 1 email per week and at first, less than that. And we will not send you fund raising emails. Again I will be talking about this throughout the year and explaining it.

Here are some nuggets from the past I want to leave you with....

As we live in these exciting times, we must focus our attention on Jesus Christ and anticipate His return. We must be faithful disciples, making soul-winning a active and vital part of our lives. We have a message that others need to hear. We must share it while there is still time.

Here is a powerful verse in Jeremiah: Thus says the Lord; Stand in the ways and see, and ask for the old paths, where the good way is, and walk in it; Then you will find rest for your souls. But they said, we will not walk in it. (Jeremiah 6:16).... I have determined in my heart not to say no to Christ and His ways in favor of what the crowd wants! It’s my firm belief that God is raising up a people in these last days willing to be weaned away from the things of the world and ready to turn their backs on sin completely!! As we give thanks let us remember to be thankful for where He brought us from and patiently seek Gods will for the future. I believe that the rapture is very close and I want to be found pleasing in the Lords sight when He returns

Church, we were never called to entertain the world wrongly assuming that it would make them desire the things of God. What you compromise to gain you will ultimately lose. What you and I need is a move of Gods Holy Spirit one more time. Let’s return to preaching the Word of God under the Anointing of the Holy Spirit. It takes the power of God to draw people to Christ. All of the tricks of a weak backslidden church has not worked because it cannot work. The only thing that brings people to Christ is a church that exalts the Cross of Christ and preaches and lives by the Blood of Jesus. Oh God Almighty May our preachers no longer cave to the pressure of the threats of this godless society. Give your people a voice one more time. Let us return to prayer and stand firmly on the ground God has given us in and by His Word. Take us back to those old time revivals and prayer meetings. Birth some today oh God. Help us to tell this generation that God still loves you and you can still repent and receive forgiveness..Move among us Holy Spirit. Help us to live the truth.. in Jesus Name... 

Many who have stood through great trouble and conquered, later found themselves defeated because of sloppy spiritual conduct in times of seeming peace. Our confidence can never rest in the accomplishments or achievements of the past, but only in our continual place in the presence of God. Be sure to maintain an intimate relationship with the Lord daily. God bless you friends!!

Nuggets from FB from The End of 2018

Happy New Year everyone... May your days be filled with the blessings of obedience to Christ.. A few have asked me what God placed on my heart for the New Year and it was on me so powerfully I waited until now to share. It is Psalm 1... I have included a snapshot of the Psalm in this post. As you read, understand that the word law in this passage as relating to the NT believers means , according to the Reformation Heritage Bible notes, “A General Term meaning the whole of Gods Word.” While we don’t live under the OT law, it is still incumbent on God’s people to obey the Lord by the power of the Holy Spirit. In Psalm 1 we see the Blessing comes to The separated Children of God as they stand in contrast to the ungodly. More on this in a message coming soon.... Angie and I love you all and we are very excited to see what this year holds. Friends, Trust and Love God!! Love each other, Draw near to God and He will draw near to you, not just in 2019 but evermore.... God bless!!

Charles H Spurgeon once said, “If we mean to be a Christian, and therefore intend to cast off the bondage of this present evil world, our resolve must be taken to bear all consequences rather than worship the idol of the hour..”. Just like the 3 Hebrew children were spared in the midst of that old fiery furnace, so too God will walk with those committed to His will no matter what!! Find strength today at the Cross for the journey ahead!! The shed Blood of Jesus is the saving and keeping power of the saint as well as the protection we will need while standing for His truth in this culture.. Never Bow— You won’t burn.. Keep the Faith!!

There is nothing we would be called to lay aside in this world that could possibly even compare to the rich rewards and Treasures that await us in Gods Eternal Presence.. Today is not all that matters. Our best life comes later. It matters how we treat people and handle our affairs honestly. Let’s not be like the world system that bites and devours. The Holy Spirit whispered to my heart one time, “If you are number one in your eyes, your priorities are misplaced.”......

I love how God speaks so clearly through history. If we would learn from the mistakes of the past we would never be doomed to repeat them and if we would celebrate the victories of the past it gives honor to God and builds toward the future... Remember my friends; The thief comes to steal and kill and destroy, but Jesus came to give more abundant life!!! As we get back to the Word of God we can enjoy His finest blessings...

"We will find it sweet to go up the bleak side of the hill with Christ; and when rain and snow blow into our faces, His dear love will make us far more blessed than those who sit at home and warm their hands at the world's fire." C. H. Spurgeon

Hope is what this world needs!! Remember this old hymn? “When darkness veils His lovely face, I rest on His unchanging Grace; in every high and stormy gale, My anchor holds within the veil.” Times will get difficult in this old world and it seems that evil will dominate. But our hope is not in this evil world, our hope is found only in Jesus Christ. In fact, Hope is Jesus Christ!! And in the words of one dear Pastors wife, “God’s Got This”.. make His Word your daily priority and when we finally relinquish control—- We meet Hope—- Jesus Christ..

“Whatever you do, Work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men..” (Col. 3:23). We need to be single minded as to our purpose in these last days and join hands with others in proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ!! In the natural, don’t be one who is always cutting corners and milking the system.. this is not a Christian value!! Don’t cause others to pick up your slack. This is not discipleship!! Often how we act in the natural is an indicator of our spiritual condition.. ask God to help you to be faithful and to keep improving each day. I truly believe that God is calling us to a higher standard in order to bring Him glory in these days.. Stand Firm and stand Faithful and watch God move mountains!!

We were so blessed in May to take over a 1000 piece product delivery to the Hope Aglow Prison Ministry in Lynchburg Virginia...  This included Bibles, Books, and Cassettes... Already we have 5 more boxes of product ready to go on load 2 coming soon..

In a few days I will be updating you guys on New partnerships we have formed this year.. We look for stability, accountability, and productivity in ministries we plan to sow alot into... God has given us some very good ones and as I said in a few days I will Tell you more about it........

Here are some nuggets from My FB.......

Courage is a road that travels the mountain tops( of encouragement) and the valleys (of discouragement) of Life... Sometimes we feel very bold and at other times it seems our courage slips out the backdoor and leaves us feeling very insecure and vulnerable... There are 2 ways to keep courage close at hand: one is to meditate on the promises of God found in His Holy Unchanging Word and the other is to talk to a trusted friend (Prayer To God) about everything we face in Life...

The law says " if you go to work you'll be blessed".... Grace says, "you are blessed , Go to work" ( from one of my newest messages). And another, "True peace is more than a calm exterior; Peace is a quiet heart".....

God gives His word as His standard for our living and for our guidance as well!! He also gives His word for our comfort because He loves us.. whenever we look around and wonder what the future holds and we have questions about the direction of our lives, our nation, and our world; sometimes we have concerns about our finances, our jobs and our families. It's then that we are reminded on every page of the Holy Word of God that kings, nations, and economies do not hold the fate of our lives; only God does, and He is a God of comfort and love. He has a future and a hope for us!! There is no human weapon of man that can blow the promises off the pages of the Bible!!!

Puritan Thomas Watson said, "There are no sins God's people are more subject to than unbelief and impatience; they are ready, either to faint through unbelief , or to fret through impatience..". We don't learn character when life is cruising along going great- only when it demands us to reach within and discover new patience from the Lord, new faith in God, and new heavenly resources to overcome the obstacles... God grant us patient hearts of endurance each day!!!

Many things in life are only temporary. A gallon of milk, a loaf of bread, a carton of eggs all have expiration dates. The storms you are in have an expiration date, and they too will soon expire. So hold on, don't give up now. Put on a smile and press on. Your day is almost here. The problems you face are about to expire.... In order for Peace to develop and grow in us, there has to be a storm.. In order to have courage grounded in God, there have to be opportunities to flee and hide.... I will be talking about these things in detail in my upcoming series , "Courage In This Chaos"..... also talking about it on the show tomorrow night... 

If we are going to be able to live victorious, overcoming, courageous lives in these days of uncertainty, chaos, and fear..... we will need to be calm in our hearts, loving and compassionate toward others, constructive and Christ centered in our relationships, challenged to grow in Him consistently,and connected to the Church!!! We are created to live in community not isolation.. The New Testament has many "One Another" and "Each Other" tasks for us.. ( encourage one another, love one another, bear with one another, to name three.) Today, go with God rejoicing!!! Many blessings!!

I don't say this unkindly but I say it.... Preachers who do not preach the Cross and the Blood rob their people of the deliverance they need.... Those who refuse to take a stand on the Word of God in order to have numbers are hirelings instead of shepards..... Ministers who are focused on getting the credit are spiritually bankrupt.... and if these issues are not addressed and the sleepy church in the USA doesn't repent and hit the Altar of Prayer our Nation will be in serious trouble... Please stop trying to sound like Dr. Phil and preach like the Apostle Paul and the Prophets of old.. This Generation is depending on you.. This may well be the last line of defense...

Todays esoteric prophets (so called) who are basing their walk with God on experiences and extra biblical "revelation" rather than on the Word, the Cross, and the Blood of Jesus; are conditioning the church for the greatest deception in recorded history.

I do not care if a Church has 50,000 people in it; that doesn't mean that God is there. If there is no conviction of sin; if there is no repentance; if there are no changed lives; If the message is "self" GOD IS NOT IN IT.....

"Do this and live, the law commands, but gives me neither feet nor hands..... A better Word the Gospel brings.. It bids me fly and gives me wings.." (An unknown poet)....Wings in Scripture often refers to Supernatural Power.. Romans 6:14 "For Sin shall not have dominion over you: For you are not under Law, But under Grace."......The glorious Provisions of the New Covenant guarantee the believer the Victory of Christ by Grace through Faith.......

The main message of the church is not to be ‘ We’re a nice, pretty place; you’ll like us.’ Rather the message should be ‘ This is a Holy place where sin is despised and if you will embrace Jesus Christ and Him Crucified, you will have victory over sin.’ "For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace." (Romans 6:14)

That day will probably start out like any other; business as usual on planet earth. But then, as jagged forks of lightning rip through the eastern sky; a trumpet will sound in the heavens and we will be translated in the twinkling of an eye. Meeting Jesus in the air… Its gonna happen; ready or not…… How many is ready for that Blessed Hope? Can I get a witness....?

In this modern and sophisticated age in which we live, sin is still sin.... The wages of sin is still death (Rom. 6:23)... The soul that sins will still die (Eternal Separation From God Ezekiel 18:20) .... All men are still born sinners because of the Fall... (Romans 3:23) AND Gods answer to this terrible problem we all face is still JESUS CHRIST.. (Acts 4:12) (1 Peter 2:24).... This being the case its very important that each of us who are saved begin to lift up the Name of Jesus, share our faith and testimony, and win souls as never before.. The Lord told us He would give the Holy Spirit to help us do this.. Lets not get off track with numerous side issues while the world goes to hell... Preach JESUS... Proclaim JESUS, Exalt JESUS..... He will take care of the rest...... 

I love something Jonathan Edwards said, " Christ does not sell Himself to us for our righteousness or anything we can do for Him. He offers Himself to us freely," so thankful that Jesus loves us so much!! This love is what prompts us to live Holy lives and walk humbly with our God.. may the God of Grace bless your Lords Day!! Peace!

When you declare with boldness and confidence that any other message
than Jesus Christ and Him Crucified is "another gospel"; you may be
called arrogant, prideful, divisive, etc... But turn a deaf ear... Keep
proclaiming the Cross with confidence... JESUS IS BETTER..... Don't go Back to Law.......

When we imitate our Lord in laying down our lives for others; we will find ourselves in the midst of a fuller sense of HIS peace, power, and presence... We are coming so close to HIS return. Lets go for broke and we will be amazed at what the Holy Spirit will accomplish through obedient vessels......

Often you will find Faithfulness is spelled R. I. S. K.... God moves when the odds are against you.. Dare to dream and watch God paint His purposes on the canvass of your heart.. I resolved a long time ago to quit living like I have forever.... Throw caution to the wind and let God do mighty exploits in and through me today!! What would you do if you knew you couldn't fail has become more than a cliche with me. It's Gods story being written in me.. Run to the roar; fight for the dream until your sword freezes to your hand, with the word , defend the ground He has given you : and advance at His leading!! God has always desired to gather people who would give themselves wholeheartedly to Him , be His Witnesses, and Proclaim His message.." (Ed Stetzer) .. The message is Repentance of sin and Forgiveness of Christ for our sins.... Anytime it becomes something other than repentance and forgiveness , then the Gospel is lost in the process of doing church.. The Local Church is a releasing agent, every member participating in one common goal; a gospel saturated people taking the good news to the world through a variety of tools..... #ChurchWorks

When Missionary John Paxton (a cousin from my direct line) landed in the New Hebrides in the 1800's he began translating the New Testament for the inhabitants. He was somewhat perplexed on how to communicate the concept of 'Believe' to them due to the language barrier. So one day he leaned back on a chair and saw that that simple act-- is one concept of believe.. To Place Your Entire weight upon something! He did not use a broken down chair but one that was strong and sturdy... Why? The answer is obvious. The object of your faith (believing) is very important... Friends, as Christians we do not serve a decrepit savior but One who is strong and Sturdy.. One who has defeated every power of Hell at the Cross.. As we put all our weight on Him He will hold us up in the storms of our lives.... (An expert from an upcoming book)

For 2000 years the Gospel has been about Jesus and His great love for the human race. Man has made an idol out of his basest needs and desires.. Those traits inherited at the fall are often still in the drivers seats even after professing Christ for years down the road.. Why ? Because we don't easily see what the Gospel actually teaches is a death to 'self'.. The Gospel is not a way to improve self and gain it legitimacy.. Jesus sets us free from the fall and its tangled vines of bondage.. This is one reason I believe in give to give instead of give to get.. (and I could touch on 10,000 other issues) ... I encourage you today to put away your idols.. I can encourage you to do it but God demands that you do it. Serve only the real Jesus of the Bible. Reject those who have exploited and made merchandise of you… Cling to the cross with every fiber of your being.. Run to the cross… Jesus, The real Jesus, will meet you there.

Most who claim to have great discernment really mean they have the gift of a critical spirit..

Making the most of every precious moment of life on earth.. LIFE IS SHORT BUT ETERNITY IS LONG……Love someone today who is unlovable.. Take the time to enjoy the mountains, lakes, forests,rivers,and cities… Smell the roses so to speak… Every rose has a thorn but they sure smell sweet and are beautiful. So is life in Jesus Christ. I want to make doubly certain that Jesus receives ALL the glory for anything accomplished in and through my short life here on earth. Everyday, going to the cross to lay down to the death any ego, pride, self,etc… that could possibly rob Him of His glory.

Good morning from Lynchburg friends!! While taking time to gather my thoughts from the wonderful impartation of yesterday I feel the Lord saying to me: "Make every moment count for souls". Sometimes it's something simple like a smile , a Word in season, or helping to meet a physical need. Other times it may be preaching a difficult message but one God wants to use to transform someone. Or it may just be behaving myself in a Godly, Christlike way because the world is watching!! Whatever the situation requires; help me today Lord to slow down and Hear From You.. Here is something Pastor Jonathan Falwell said , "living life in a whirlwind rarely leads to accomplishment".. Have a great day my friends!! Jesus is coming soon.. Keep looking up!!!
