Jesus Victory Over Death

Jesus Christ’s victory over death was indeed the turning point of history. In His triumph, He reversed the earth’s cycle of chaos and destruction and revealed Himself as the rightful ruler of the cosmos. It is significant that in His exalted state Jesus did not rid himself of his wounds. Instead, He displayed them openly to His disciples. When we take time to consider Christ’s wounds and ours, Jesus enables us to see that pain and sorrow have their own distinct beauty.
What does Christ mean by showing to us his hands and feet? He means this: that suffering is absolutely necessary. Christ is the head, and his people are the members. If suffering could have been avoided, surely our glorious Head ought to have escaped; but inasmuch as he shows us his wounds, it is to tell us that we shall have wounds too.—Charles Spurgeon

Scripture Reading

John 20:24–29
Now Thomas, one of the Twelve, called the Twin, was not with them when Jesus came. So the other disciples told him, “We have seen the Lord.” But he said to them, “Unless I see in his hands the mark of the nails, and place my finger into the mark of the nails, and place my hand into his side, I will never believe.”
Eight days later, his disciples were inside again, and Thomas was with them. Although the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you.” Then he said to Thomas,“Put your finger here, and see my hands; and put out your hand, and place it in my side. Do not disbelieve, but believe.” Thomas answered him, “My Lord and my God!” Jesus said to him, “Have you believed because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”

A CALL TO ACTION FOR AMERICA

BEING RENEWED " IN HIM" from 2009

Random Thoughts From My Journal.

I have few other interests other than the Gospel. History is one of them. When I get together with other people I love to talk about the things of God. I really do not like to visit all that much but when I do I center it around the Word because that all that lasts.

I value my time alone with my Lord. Its then that He imparts the creative spark within me that He blessed me with even as a small boy. I love to create things under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit and its hard to do that jawing with folks all day every day. Don't get me wrong, I love and enjoy good times of fellowship as much as the next guy but I would rather write a sermon or a book or a poem; something that can live beyond me.

My main interest lies in the things of the Spirit and communicating them to others. A short time ago, the Lord told me to begin to spend prayer times in the woods again the way I used to do so much. People will just have to get used to it and rescheduling will have to be done. Its time to rebuild.. Its time to create in the Spirit.

2015: ALL IN

This is one of my favorite books of all time.. As we press ahead into the great year of 2015 , the concepts found in the pages of Pastor Mark Battersons blockbuster book "All In" we will try very hard to embrace with both our minds and our hearts as well as in our actions..... We shall strive to live Soli Deo Gloria for an audience of one, God alone... Striving to please God above any and all else and the choices we make will be in fact made on that basis alone.. We want to wish you all a very Happy New Year and pray that you will be prosperous in all that God inspires you to set your hand to for His Glory, His Kingdom, and His Exaltation.....
