Some Thoughts On Death

Though the kingdom of God has been inaugurated in the Person and work of Jesus Christ, the kingdom has not yet come in all its fullness. Consequently, life in this period of “already” and “not yet” is complex and multifaceted. Though we rejoice in Christ’s victory, we continue to experience tragedy and death. While we mourn the loss of friends and loved ones, we know that, because Christ has defeated death, our sorrow will one day turn to joy.
If then our future bodies are to retain the human form, to be easily distinguished by those who knew and loved us on earth; if they are to be endued with an unknown power; if they are to be incorruptible, immortal, and spiritual; if we are to bear the image of the heavenly, we may well bow down with humble and joyful hearts and receive the exhortation of the Apostle: “Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.” —Charles Hodge

1 Corinthians 15:20–26
But in fact Christ has been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. For as by a man came death, by a man has come also the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive. But each in his own order: Christ the firstfruits, then at his coming those who belong to Christ. Then comes the end, when he delivers the kingdom to God the Father after destroying every rule and every authority and power. For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. The last enemy to be destroyed is death.
1 Thessalonians 4:13
But we do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, about those who are asleep, that you may not grieve as others do who have no hope.

A quote by Spurgeon on Suffering

We are told that the Captain of our salvation was made perfect through suffering, therefore we who are sinful, and who are far from being perfect, must not wonder if we are called to pass through suffering too. Shall the head be crowned with thorns, and shall the other members of the body be rocked upon the dainty lap of ease? Must Christ pass through seas of his own blood to win the crown, and are we to walk to heaven dryshod in silver slippers? No, our Master’s experience teaches us that suffering is necessary, and the true-born child of God must not, would not, escape it if he might. —Charles Spurgeon

The term “sanctification” is a common buzzword in many Christian circles, and it is rightly associated with the teaching that Christ’s disciples are being made holy by the work of the Holy Spirit in their lives. However, we must not limit ourselves to a merely abstract and cognitive understanding of this doctrine. Rather, God’s Word calls us to recognize that sanctification is a present reality in our daily experiences. Whenever we encounter hardship and opposition in life, we can rest in the assurance that God’s Spirit is working through it to make us more like Jesus Christ.

New Message Of The Month Club Coming In Jan. 2015

Beginning in Jan. 2015 we will be starting our brand new CD message of the month club for supporters of the ministry in the USA only at this time... For a minimum gift of $15 or more you can receive 12 of the top ministry messages at the rate of one per month. This is the first time we have done a message club in many years and we are very excited at the number of people already pre enrolled. It is a great way to help us with all of our missions and at the same time, get a message each month to listen to and share. If you prefer you can pre enroll for a year at a time with a gift of $100 or more all at once... The club membership is different than our monthly partnership program though a good number of monthly supporters have increased their monthly giving to get in on this new Message club.
We certainly appreciate everything given to this world wide , soul winning ministry. It is our desire to be a blessing to you.

After leading a cottage service (we do a good number of these) in the Bear Lake area this past Sunday I stopped by my Mom and Dads grave on the way home. My Mom in her final days asked me hundreds of times to tell people how important it is for them to spend time in God's Word.... I believe that 2015 will represent, at least for some, a return to rightly dividing the Word in their lives and sitting in a posture of worship at the feet of Jesus.... Thats where strength is folks..... If there is anything that we can do to assist you in your study of the Word please do not hesitate to contact us by e-mail at office@acts2618.com

Also please note that we have added several links on the right hand side of this blog where you can also find some excellent Bible study tools and aids as well as several translations of the Bible. These sites have been a huge blessing in our own personal study of the Word of God..

We love you all and will continue to keep you posted on where we will be and what we are doing and again, THANK YOU for partnering with us...

Two Awesome Quotes On Forgiveness

Poor souls are apt to think that all those whom they read or hear of to be gone to heaven, went thither because they were so good and so holy. Yet not one of them, not any one that is now in heaven (Jesus Christ alone excepted), did ever come thither any other way but by forgiveness of sins.
—John Owen
We need not climb up into heaven to see whether our sins are forgiven: let us look into our hearts, and see if we can forgive others. If we can, we need not doubt but God has forgiven us.
—Thomas Watson

Coming up in 2015: The only way to heaven

George Barna, the well known Christian pollster writes: "Many who claim Christianity in America believe that people have multiple options for gaining entry into heaven... Millions of Americans have redefined grace to mean that God is so eager to save people from hell that He will change His Nature and universal principles for their individual benefit. Its astounding how many people develop their faith according to their feelings or cultural assumptions rather than Biblical Teachings." This is why we Must return to proclaiming the Word of God as the source upon which are to base our beliefs. In 2015 I will be looking at this indepth throughout the year.

Calling Out To God For America

In Galatians 4:19 the great Apostle Paul tells us "My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you."
Paul here stresses the importance of travailing prayer both to bring people to Christ and again, to see them into maturity in Christ.
During intercessory prayer for people we must be led by the Holy Spirit. He will often speak to us in our hearts and guide us as to how we are to pray for someone.
During intercessory prayer, we intercept satan's assignments and works from being carried out. Then we pray for people at their point of need. We must never give up until the answer comes.
Sometimes as we pray for the lost and hurting of this world, God allows us to momentarily feel their lostness and their pain. This can bring about a groaning and travail in spirit.

Also, at times we may feel an unction to pray for someone at a certain time. We may or may not know who or what we are praying for or about. Millions of lives have been saved in this fashion by allowing God to use us in this type of intercession for others.

God also says in Ezekiel 22:30  "And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none."
As Christians, we are to stand in the gap and interceed for our nation as well. How many of you pray for your country everyday? That is what we are supposed to do. We are to pray for leadership on all levels. Read 1 Timothy 2:1-3

Our nation of America is in real trouble and we need to cry out to God. Lets look at the 29th verse of Ezekiel 22 for one of the reasons America is in trouble and in dire need of prayer and repentance today.  "The people of the land have used oppression, and exercised robbery, and have vexed the poor and needy; yea, they have oppressed the stranger wrongfully."
When the people of God forget the poor and needy; God takes it personal. This is a very serious matter. I personally believe that one reason [among many] why the selective judgement of God is coming to America is because of the false prosperity gospel we have given to the world.
Instead of telling the world of their need for salvation through the Blood of Christ; we have been preaching a message of greed. We now have a nation of pillow prophets speaking soft words that appeal to the greed of the sinful nature of fallen man.

All of us who truly love God and our nation had better begin to fall on our faces and cry out in repentance to a Holy God. Amen.

Lets look at Ezekiel 22:31 and see the results if we fail to do so. " Therefore have I poured out mine indignation upon them; I have consumed them with the fire of my wrath: their own way have I recompensed upon their heads, saith the Lord God."

American Christian-- It is time to pray.

Why We Can Be Forgiven

Forgiveness is of such importance to each of us that we must realize that the basis for our forgiveness is the Cross of Jesus Christ. We can be forgiven only on the basis of what Jesus did on our behalf. Before Jesus suffered and died on the Cross, Isaiah the prophet gave us a picture of what He was to do and why He was to do it. In Isaiah 53 Isaiah describes the suffering death of our Lord Jesus Christ.

" Surely He has borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem Him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD has laid on Him the iniquity of us all." Isaiah 53:4-6

That is the basis of God's forgiveness. It does not compromise His justice. The justice of God was fully and finally satisfied because Jesus became our substitute and took our iniquity, our rebelliousness, and our guilt. Isaiah and Paul both emphasize that none are excluded from the need of forgiveness. [Romans 3:23]
It may not be some atrocious crime of murder or rape that each of us is quilty of, but Isaiah says that we have all gone astray. We have all turned to our own way. We have been rebellious. We have been self-pleasers. We have lived by our own standards. We have robbed God of His glory. This is all summed up in one strong word of scripture, iniquity.
But thanks be to God, the Lord laid on Jesus the iniquity of us all. The Hebrew word that is translated " laid on Him" is a vivid word. It means " made to meet together on Him". All of the sins, all the burdens of men, all the guilt, of all ages, of all races, past, present, and future, came and met together upon the person of the Lord Jesus Christ as He hung on the Cross.

Jesus did not die for His own sin. He never sinned. Jesus was wounded for our transgressions. He was bruised for our iniquities. The punishment that brought us peace was upon Him.
Please take note how closely linked healing and forgiveness are. Many times people are seeking healing, when what they really need is forgiveness before they can be healed. It is also true that, at times God does heal people who are not forgiven as yet. We also see that the consequence of forgiveness is peace. Because Jesus was punished on the Cross for our sin, God offers us peace and reconciliation. On the Cross, Jesus was our substitute.

We cannot earn our forgiveness. Period..
In Romans, chapter 4, Paul bases his teaching on the experience of Abraham. Paul points out that Abraham did not earn his relationship with God. Abraham was justified because he believed, not because of what he did. Read Romans 4:1-5
If we lead perfectly good lives then we would have received the reward of righteousness as a due. But Paul says because none of us has led perfect lives, we cannot claim it as a due. We have to receive it out of God's graciousness as a free gift to us. Paul then goes on to quote the words of David in Psalm 32. He talks about "blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. Blessed is the man unto whom the LORD imputes not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile." [verses 1-2] When we receive Christ and what He did for us at Calvary; our sins will never be counted against us...
Paul continues by telling us in Romans Chapter 4:20-25 that it is Christ who was raised to life for our justification. As we put our faith in what Jesus did for us at Calvary this becomes a reality for us. We are justified through faith in the death of Jesus on our behalf. When all our sins are forgiven us because of our faith in Jesus, we are reckoned righteous with the very righteousness of Jesus Himself.

When God forgives us through our faith in Christ, He does not partially forgive us. God totally forgives us. Lets look at Micah 7:18-19. "Who is a God like unto you, who pardons iniquity, and passes by the transgression of the remnant of His heritage? He retains not His anger forever, because He delights in mercy. He will turn again, He will have compassion upon us; He will subdue our iniquities; and you will cast all their sins into the depths of the sea."
Isn't that so beautiful? Everything that we have ever done wrong-- everything that could ever make us feel guilty, every accusation that the enemy could ever bring against us-- God treads them under foot and then hurls them into the depths of the sea. If God has forgiven you then you are forgiven.

God's forgiveness is total. In Isaiah 43:25 God speaks to His people: "I, even I, am He Who blots out your transgressions for My Own sake, and will not remember your sins."
When God forgives us, He gives us a clean record. It is as though what has been forgiven had never taken place. Not only does God blot out the record, but He blots it out from His own memory. He says that He will not remember our sins any more.
When God forgives, He forgets... All because of Calvary...

Communication With God

Prayer is communication with God as we turn our hearts, minds, spirits, and thoughts toward Him.  Prayer is a form of worship. We bow before our awesome God with a humble and contrite heart. We bring God our adoration in prayer and praise to Him. We also seek and find, ask and receive, knock and have opened to us.[Matt. 7:7-8]

There is no greater calling for the believer than  the place of prayer. Psalm 27:8 tells us that it is the Holy Spirit of God that takes the initiative in our prayer lives. The Holy Spirit births within us desire to seek the things of God and to know Him.  God can use us despite how we may have messed up our life. The Lord will lift us up out of our problems because He wants to use us in His kingdom. He does this for His names sake.[Ezekiel 36:22,23]

Following are some different, scriptural kinds of prayer:
1- Prayer of authority; binding and loosing:  Matt. 12:29   Matt.16:19
2- Prayer of agreement: Matt. 18:19,20  Acts 4:31
3- The prayer of faith petition:  Mark 11:22-24   John 15:7
4- Prayer of thanksgiving, Praise and worship:  2 Chronicles 20:20-22   Psalm 100:4,5
5- Prayer of commitment, consecration and dedication:  Rom. 12:1,2   Matt. 26:39
6- The prayer of intercession:  Ezekiel 22:30  Rom. 8: 26,27
Another example of the prayer of intercession is in 1 Timothy 2: 1-3 and Rom. 8:34
   7- Prayer in the Holy Spirit: 1 Cor. 14:2-4, 14, 15

Let me encourage you to take the time to communicate with God in prayer Today.

Thursday night August 28 Intercessors meeting

We kicked off the final events for August with an intercessors meeting in Muncie Indiana. As we gathered in the hotel meeting room I could sense that God had spent the entire day birthing the message He wanted me to deliver that evening From EZ 34-39... Prophetic prayer was the order of the evening as we began to seek the Lord for America and the nations of the world. Speaking to things in the realm of Spirit we began to receive revelation as to how we needed to be praying. I love the way the Lord works in this area. This led into a word to begin calling out for our unsaved friends and loved and God told me to also share that on FB and call out the names of unsaved people. Here was my FB post: "God has been stirring in my spirit all day that He wants people to know and understand how very much He wants to save their loved ones and He said to start calling them by name before the Throne.. If u would like us to join in faith and prayer with u for your loved ones send Angie or I their names. God is about to do the Miraculous ..."

Indeed we did begin to see the miraculous take place. Here was just one subsequent FB post: "Someone was going to write and didn't that they have a daughter who has run away from home: we join in agreement here in the cornfields of Indiana and WE CALL HER HOME IN THE NAME OF JESUS!"  and "We are here in this altar tonight and many are texting wayward loved , calling out their names, or writing them on slips of paper. God just spoke to my heart and said PERSEVERE AND MAKE SURE WHAT U SAY ABOUT THESE PEOPLE LINES UP WITH WHAT YOU PRAY FOR THESE PEOPLE.."

That absolutely captures the tenure of the entire evening as we Believe God did miracles. If you were impacted by this either in the service of on FB, we would like you to please send us your testimony. We are looking forward to more ministry this weekend in Philly and other locations in PA..

History Events of the Weekend

The history part of the weekends events took us to several historical locations in Indiana.. Ft. Wayne, Hartford City, Matthews, Gosport, and several other stops along the trail. From pre revolution thru Modern day history Indiana has a truly rich heritage and well worth the time to go see. Voice overs to pics will be forthcoming this Fall.

The Indiana events with Disciple were awesome... The band did all their favorites and some new songs from their soon to be released project "Attack".. Lead singer Kevin Young is also quite a preacher and gave a great message at the show. Many souls saved and lives changed for Jesus.. These are the kinds of bands we love to support. It was a great way to kick off the labor day weekend.

New Missions Thrust

Len is writing for the connect site the second announcement we wish to make for 2015. I will tell you that it concerns church planting with TRBC. It does not provide a building but gives native Pastors training, Bibles, humanitarian supplies, etc. The cost is $225 per church. Some meet in homes, huts, even under tree's (we take so much for granted) in Africa, South and Central America, and elsewhere around the world. Our goal is to pay for one a month. This will take the bulk of our extra giving at present levels but of course we are believing for increase. A certain portion of all offerings we take in will go to this as well. Some time back, we reached out to TRBC and they reached back. God spoke to us that this was part of a fulfillment of the message God gave Len 3 yrs ago "Reciprocal". This will undoubtedly be one of our biggest stretches next yr, though we have already started to do this. There will be much more detail in Lens article. we also plan to take in extra for TMCI in 2015 doing the same type of thing..

God spoke to my husbands heart and said he would be going to one of these places and that He was going to form a vision bond with one or more of these local native Pastors who will ultimately be left much of the ministry when its time for us to go home.. I never dreamed that foreign missions would come into play like this but I am eagerly watching to see what God will do..

Status Aug.25

How we show honor, value and relate to others says a lot about the revelation of Jesus that we have.
Abrasion in communication, self-centeredness, unwillingness to be inconvenienced by serving others, sarcasm, avoiding confrontation or uncomfortable interactions and negligence to notice the treasure in others are all symptoms of self-preservation.
It is easy to “know” and have a revelation of Jesus, but have a distorted view of His character, veiled behind walls.

The Hope Of All Mankind!

Even your own past has to bow to the mighty name of Jesus and free you from its grave of regrets if God has called you…. The Cross has eliminated everything in the enemies arsenal of weapons that could possibly render your life ineffective. Cling to that old rugged Cross… Preach it…Proclaim it… It is the good news; the Hope of all mankind….

Status Update: Wednesday August 20

In 1 Timothy Chapter 2 Verse 8 it says  "In every place of worship, I want men to pray with holy hands lifted up to God, free from anger and controversy."  NLT

It is so important that we do not live Angry lives.. Nor should we be at odds with others all the time..  These things will hinder our prayer and our worship.. Lets do our very best to let all offense go and put it away far from us.. As we do, we will begin to see glorious miracles..

Part of a prophetic Word God gave Pastor Len Paxton... 8-14-2014

"There is Provision for the Vision but stay away from Division... Focus on Gods Mission... The watchers eyes are upon all the earth and God is giving birth.... to a season of miracles.. Yes, Yes, Gods purposes will be fulfilled if we operate in His Will.. " Part of a prophetic Word God gave Pastor Len Paxton... 8-14-2014

The Warfare Is Accomplished

"Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God. Speak ye comfortably to Jerusalem, and cry unto her, that her warfare is accomplished, that her iniquity is pardoned: for she hath received of the Lord's hand double for all her sins. [IS 40:1-2]

"When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, He said, IT IS FINISHED: and He bowed His head, and gave up the ghost.
[St John 19:30]

As long as you and I live in the body we will face challenges and struggles. It is a story as old as time. But on the Cross of Calvary, Jesus Christ won the victory for all who will place their faith in Him. During hard and difficult times I do not have to lose my peace and joy because Christ is my peace and joy as well as everything I need. The world around me may be shaking and falling apart at the seams but as a Christian, my confidence is in what Jesus has provided for me.

With faith and patience we inherit the promises[Hebrews 6:12]. Jesus has already defeated the powers of satan on the Cross[Colossians2:15]. Because of Calvary, we can have a clean heart and walk in the purity and righteousness of the Word of God. The battle is no longer our battle but the Lord's battle.

Here are several things to consider when you are in a battle and waiting for the victory to manifest itself in your life.
1- Satan can cause a battle to happen, but he cannot determine the final outcome.
2- Your reaction to the trouble will determine if God, or the enemy, is allowed to work in the situation.
3- A setback is only temporary and not final. A small defeat is no sign that the enemy has won.
4- God has already set a day, hour, and moment for you to come out of your fiery furnace. You must keep your faith in what Jesus did for you at the Cross until you see the victory take place.
5- God calls this fight " the good fight of faith"[2 Timothy 4:7] A good fight is a fight that is already won. God says to us through Calvary " The warfare is already accomplished!!"

God is never surprised when conflict comes to us. He already knew all about it before satan even began his strategy. The Lord wants us to keep our faith in Him at all times. The victory is already WON!!!

God says "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope."[Jeremiah 29:11 NKJV].

Every battle is already predetermined that YOU come forth the victor, because Jesus is the victor...
When the battle comes, some give up, give in and lose heart. Only then can satan take advantage of us.
Faith in what Jesus did at Calvary will ensure a completed victory.
The warfare is accomplished at Calvary!

Pride Is A Roadblock

Often, there are many roadblocks to a person being blessed. One of the major roadblocks is pride. Pride is a really high opinion of oneself. Lucifer fell because of pride. See Isaiah 14: 12-14. Pride caused Lucifer to attempt an overthrow of God's kingdom. He was cast down and lost his position. How could an angel think he could overthrow God's kingdom? Obadiah 3 says, " The pride of your heart has deceived you." You see, self-deception takes place when pride enters. Pride will cause a person to think they are smarter than God. Lets look at some [ only some] of the manifestations of Pride. 1- Not seeking God in prayer and in His Word. 2- Disobeying God's Word and Spirit. 3- Refusal to worship and give to God. 4- Forsaking the assembling in church. 5- No repentance when there is sin. 6- More concern with the opinion of others than with God's opinion. 7- Pursuit of pleasure, comfort, and convenience instead of commitment and surrender to God's will. 8- Rebellion-- unwillingness to submit to spiritual, family, or secular authority. Those are merely a few of the pride indicators that we could list. What is Gods solution? HUMILITY! God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble. Casting our cares on the Lord acknowledges that our heavenly Father is the One who will take care of our cares... As we humble ourselves and resist the devil, God's grace will strengthen, perfect, establish, and settle us.

FORGIVENESS PROCLAMATION 2 by Rev. Len Paxton

Mondays thought.. 8-11

I have said to many over the years, "no matter how hateful you talk and act toward me; you will not change me or what I preach. I am sold out the whole route... So rather than waste your time and energy on something you can not do you may as well move on to something and someone else. and.... Its ok.... I forgive you..." You have got to free your selves from anger and bitterness friends....

Psalm 23 confession

We hold fast to the confession The Lord is my Shepard I do not want..... We dont want for anything that pertains to this life because its found in JESUS.... Healing, Blessing, Companionship, Direction, Guidance, Provision, and..... so very much more....... ( Psalm 23)

On The Journey.

We can never be perfect so we don't strive for that... We strive to be worshippers and throughout our journey The Lord will perfect and mature that which concerns us.. Psalm 138:8

Don't change your message just because there is some wise cracker standing off to the side screaming how you are not perfect either..... Hey, Listen up... none of us are perfect but that does not change the Word! Preach what God gives you to preach.

27 Verses God Gave Me On the Importance Of Guarding Your Heart and Eyes.

Recently God began heavily dealing with me on this subject.Far too many today spend the bulk of their time airing their grievances on social sites for the whole world to see and its become very cumbersome and ungodly to even look at it in most cases. Its unbiblical as the Lord has told us to not take offense and if something occurs then we are to go to the parties involved. Not to anyone or everyone else. So the Lord told me in no uncertain terms to STOP looking at it all together. I do realize that this word was for me and not for everyone else to stop HOWEVER, the principals found in these verses can benefit every single one of us who follow Jesus. I used to spend countless hours walking and praying in the woods and received mighty impartations from the Holy Spirit and The Lord has told me to "Go back to the woods and change the image inside from the worldly chatter of much of the church and the SELF that many believers walk and function in and allow the Holy Spirit to put His and only His image inside you"............ This post I will only give the list of verses God gave me.... Look them up and meditate in them and I personally believe God will do a mighty work in you.. This will only be the list of verses and later I will be sharing audio and video teaching on these verses.. And oh yeah, God told me to expect persecution for the words sake..... Here then is the list of verses.... 1)Phil 4:8 2)Phil 4:6-9 3)Rom 14:23 4) 1 Cor 2:16 5) 2 Cor 10:5 6) Rom 10:17 7) 1 Cor 14:10 8) Gal 6:7 9) Matt 7:2 10) Psalm 119:130 11) Mark 4:23 12) Matt 5:37 13) Mark 4:25 14) Matt 13:12 15)Luke 8:18 16)Acts 2:4 17)Psalm 45:1 18) Heb 5:11 19) Psalm 51:8 20) 2 Cor 3:18 21) Neh chapter 6 22) Prov. 29:18 23)1 Cor 12:12 24) Is 55:11 25) Mark 11:24 26) Matt 9:29 27) Eccl 1:11 and an extra, 28)Psalm 119:37 it also helps to read verses surrounding these... and there are of course many more verses that deal with the subject at hand.. these are simply the ones God applied to me... Back to the woods; change the image.. So now, launching out to obey God in this and watch Him do awesome and mighty things... Teaching from these verses coming soon.... Len

The Invisible Things

You cannot see the smallest micro-creatures that exist in water, but they are there. You can in fact find a great number of these tiny, tiny creatures in a single drop of water. Just because they are unseen to the naked eye does not mean that they do not exist. How foolish it would be to claim that they do not exist simply because they cannot be seen without a microscope. The Bible tells us that " The natural man recieveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned."[1 Cor. 2:14] The powerful lens of a living faith is needed to see spiritual and eternal things. When a persons eyes are opened by the Spirit of God, new life will appear in the vast ocean of God's revealed truth in the Bible. "Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man,the things which God hath prepared for them that love Him. But God hath revealed them unto us by His Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God." [1 Cor. 2:9-10] If you will look to Jesus Christ and Him crucified today: God will reveal wonderful truths to you. It all begins by putting your faith in what Jesus did at the Cross. God longs for us to know Him and we only truly can when our faith is in the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. "For the preaching of the Cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God."[1 Cor 1:18]

Many today are mistaking zeal, desire, concern and compassion for a call to hit the road. God calls Evangelists and sends them through His channels. Find your place by waiting on God firmly planted in your local church. He will send you out when and if He truly wants you to go. Sometimes the best fit are outreaches right there in the local body from member to member." from Lens message on Excellence in Ministry part 1

When you truly get a hold of the grace of God, I guarantee you, it sets you free from sin, not free to sin. You’ll wind up living holier accidentally than you ever have on purpose. You’ll serve God out of love stricter and stronger than you ever would have out of legalism. Jesus said you shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free (John 8:32). It’s not truth that sets you free; it’s the truth you know that sets you free. But before you can know it, you’ve got to hear it. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God (Rom. 10:17).

The Trials We Face

Our Trials Sometimes it is very difficult to maintain our courage during times of trial. Satan loves to discourage us and to put fear on us. Let none of us imagine that we will have smooth sailing merely because we follow Christ. Trials will come to each believer.God allows us to go through so that we can get to. We must often go through something in order to get to something. We grow spiritually as we encounter trials and learn to trust the Lord through them. Allow me to share some things that I have learned about trials. 1-Trials and hardships can be used by God to build our character and purify our faith. [1Peter 1:3-7] 2-The trials that we go through can be used of God to help us have compassion on others and comfort them in their times of trial. [2 Cor. 1:3-7] 3-If we keep our eyes on Jesus and look for the eternal perspective, trials and tough times are survivable. [2 Cor. 4:7-18] 4- Our trials often cause us to examine ourselves and allows our foundation to be tested. If we are grounded firmly in the Lord Jesus Christ, we can make it through with our faith intact. [ Luke 6:47-49] 5-No matter what we are called upon to go through, no matter how hard or difficult: Jesus is always with us in the storms of life. We are never outside His watchful eye, His caring and compassionate embrace, and His holy, awesome, abiding presence. [Mark 4:35-41] and [ Matt. 28:20b] 6-God gives us hope right at the time when our heart is so very, very troubled. We can have the peace of Jesus in the midst of our greatest trials. [ John 14:1-7] 7- We must endure and persevere through our trials. Read the following verses of Scripture. Luke 8:15 James 1:2-4 Hebrews 12: 1-3 2 Timothy 4:7-8 In the times we are living in I believe that trials are going to increase, but so will our peace. Calamity is coming but so is our Lord. Dark days are truly ahead, but so is the finish line. As Christians, we should not fear what lies ahead but we must put our trust in the Lord.

NEW SONG - No Man is an Island by Tenth Avenue North

Here are some things to remember when interceding for others

Here are some things to remember when interceding for others: A) We must be open to the way the Holy Spirit wants us to pray for the person. B) Our heart needs to be in tune with heart of God. C) God has unlimited resources, the person has a need, and our prayers form the bridge. D) See others through Jesus eyes as you identify with the person and not just the need. E) Desire the Highest Good for the person, first of all that they remain in the center of Gods will. F) If possible, You be available to meet the persons need, not just pray about it…. G) Continue praying for the person persevering even if you do not see immediate results……

A Quote From John Huss

Mine enemies in the Council, more numerous than were Christ’s, are found amongst the bishops, and doctors, and also amongst the princes of this age, and the Pharisees. But I confide myself entirely to Almighty God my Savior; I hope, therefore, he will grant my ardent prayer, and put prudence and wisdom in my mouth, that I may be able to resist them; that he may bestow on me his Holy Spirit to fortify me in the truth; so that the gates of hell shall not be able to lead me from it, and that I may face, with an intrepid heart, temptation, imprisonment, and the sufferings of a cruel death. –John Huss, Before his arrival at the Council of Constance
